MD Profile
K.S. MADHAN KUMAR has rich experience in the air cargo business. He started his career in a Travel Agent dealing with passenger reservations and passenger group tours. During his journey he was also involved in Cargo and Aircraft handling with Air India. Noticing the challenges in the Cargo business he decided to pursue his career in the Aviation Freight business. He learnt his basics from Air India and Cathay Pacific and later joined Italian Flag Carrier Alitalia Cargo in the Sales and Marketing Division and went on to be Regional Manager – South India.
His long stint of 20 years with Alitalia Cargo enabled the airline to create a strong base in South India. He was instrumental in opening the All-Cargo Freighter traffic in Chennai and Bangalore markets. He was instrumental in starting Italy’s first private all cargo airlines Cargoitalia, which was online in India, China and Japan. Based on his long experience in the Airline business he established SAS Aviation Private Limited in 2007 to be Airline Representatives and General Sales Agents to provide the Indian export-import market professional and world class services.
